Brasi
Catarratto

Brasi is Sicilian dialect name of our ancestor, Biagio. He vinified his wines in small chestnut barrels back in the early 1900s. The goal is to rediscover and promote the ancient Sicilian tradition. 

Truly unique thanks to 4-6 months of ageing in small chestnut barrels. The combination of two great native Sicilian elements (vine and wood) produces this very distinctive and exclusive wine

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NAME: DOC SICILIA

COLOUR: Clear and consistent straw yellow

NOSE: Clean notes of ripe exotic fruit, followed by pleasant aromatic hints of mint, thyme and rosemary, and a citrus finish/span>

TASTE: Mouth marked by decisive freshness with soft and elegant tannins

PAIRING: Ravioli with leeks and cockles. Butter and sage

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-12 °C

VINIFICATION: After soft pressing, static sedimentation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. At the end of the fermentation process, racking into small new chestnut barrels, and ageing for 4/6 months

BOTTLE AGEING:  12 months

LONGEVITY OF THE WINE: 15 years
